Didn't Richard Pagliaro do the "Gear" stories? What area of expertise has he moved to on TENNIS.com? |

What does this have to do with the to[pic of the section (should be tennis gear?) Too many flowery adjectives, not enough substance. One of only a few truly poorly written things on this site... |

I still believe the only way for TGF to get back to No.1 is ts to change the smallest racquet he uses for at least a 106 . He did this in his early days and when he did he started winning and becane TGF.
Hope Wilson can help out. BILL |

TennisBelle, Richard is still with us, just focusing on different aspects of TENNIS.com. Look for more of his Racquet Reactions and other contributions in January. |

Good intro Justin. I hope Richard Pag keeps posting his interviews they are always good. |

Pagliaro's performance probably paled when paired with this promising penner's pleasant prose. |

I enjoyed the post. Must be a nervous feeling to put your first article up. I had the sense of being in Miami. Reads like you have knowledge and insight to share. Looking forward to reading as you grow as a writer. |

Even your "gear" page is a dedicated fanzine to the pros. |

Good piece Justin I will look forward to your future columns. I enjoyed Richard's columns too and saw him playing in Central Park last summer on the clay. |

How nice to have a gear editor that proselytizes about everything! |

As a professor of literature, and an avid tennis player, I particularly enjoyed your first foray into writing! You're no David Foster Wallace but it seems you share his excitement for Federer as religious experience. You have one follower here already! Good luck. |

TennisBelle,
Read the first 4 lines of the article and you will have your answer! That simple! |

Justin,
I am a Nadal fan, but I enjoyed your piece, especially where you wrote about Federer. I too, will be looking forward to read more from you. |

I have a feeling of "sadness" also. Not so much about my pathetic game, but about Federer losing matches, any matches! Even now, I keep watching the 5th set of Wimby 2008 hoping that somehow Federer will pull it off. Buttressed by my own personal experience as a mediocre player, I wonder what would have happened if he came back after that last rain delay with a Roddick Pure Drive Plus in his hands. The darkness, the rain clouds, the funny grass bounces, the wicked lefty spin, the off-center shanks, and the reality of history may have been less of a factor! Yellow versus Blue. 100 square vs 100 square inches. A fair fight! Pedro |
